No, the Mound City Library Story Hour has not gone to the dogs, but the preschoolers sure enjoyed it when Lucas Vaughn brought in his laundry basket containing puppies for the children to enjoy. Thank you, Lucas, for sharing your puppies with the children!

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting/Christmas Open House
The New Mound City Library had a great time as they celebrated their Grand Opening on December 10, 2009.
Over 250 people were in attendance. The Ribbon was cut, Dinner was served and several musicians entertained the crowd while they ate, visited and admired the new building. If you haven’t been here, you need to visit and take a tour. We are making it more people pleasing for your enjoyment. A lot has been added since the opening day – make sure you come back to see our updates.
Those participating in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony were: Jeff Dawson, F&M Bank President, Hans Fischer, Architect, Duane Kellstadt, General Contractor, Roger Carswell from the SE Kansas Library System, Skip Childress, Library Board Chairman and Lena Dick, Library Director.
We want to thank every one who came and enjoyed the day with us. We appreciate your continued support.
We also want to thank Dave Thompson for setting up all of the technology, and for taking pictures the entire time of the event. He also took care of everything going smoothly that day.
